This Sunday at 2 PM I’m running a hands-on DIY workshop at Springvale Playcentre, and I’d love for you to join me. Together we’re going to build five Kiero bins from scratch.
Shopping for the workshop
I went down to my local Mitre 10 to pick up the materials. I’d done my homework — I had a plan and a shopping list all ready to go.
Then I got to the shop.
Everything came in so many different sizes, and to me they all looked the same.
Standing in that aisle with my list in hand, I realised I had to rethink the whole thing. And that’s exactly the point of a DIY workshop — you learn by doing, by getting it a little wrong, and by working it out together.
So if you’ve never built anything like this before, you are in exactly the right place. This is beginner-friendly from start to finish.
This isn’t a sit-and-watch session. You’ll get your hands on the materials, learn how a Kiero is put together, and — just as important — learn how to start it up once it’s built. By the time you leave, you’ll know how to make one and how to get it going at home.
Here’s the thing, I am Kiero advisor but I am not used to do DIY. That’ is my husband department. So I’m learning right alongside you!
Only Twice the chance of building Kiero
One more thing worth knowing: I run Kiero workshops throughout the year, but the DIY build sessions — the ones where we actually make the bins by hand — only happen twice. If you miss this weekend, the next chance won’t come around again until next year.
